The farthest sea; Dead Western

There's so much to do
so little time to do it in
Flying to the farthest sea
can open every insight
Can you possibly fathom
what may happen every day
in other places?
There are people just like you and I
but different
in so many special ways
Why think that I
could occupy another's life?
And think that I could change
the simple ways we are
and have the upper hand?

With so much to learn
how can there only be one teacher
Are we swallowing the serum of the fool
who poses as our leader?
Tell me:
how do you write
a song that makes things meaningful?
How do you reach inside
the hearts of those you don't know?
I've forgotten everything that got me here
and I can't help but worry
that the love of life
I've left behind
will haunt me in my grave
